What Happens at Glorieta?

What Goes On

Our Sunday morning worship service is a blended service with traditional hymns and contemporary music. Then, enjoy a message that shows us the relavance of the Bible in our daily lives. The morning service is over at 12:30 when we are dismissed for lunch. All of our guests are invited to attend a reception immediately following the service so that the pastor can have an opportunity to meet everyone. At 2:00, the afternoon service begins. This is a time for learning how to apply the Bible to our everyday lives.

On Wednesday evenings, the teens and adults meet to pray. We are learning to pray as Jesus prayed so that His will may be done in our community. This is a very important time for our church. The children take this time to learn about missions in Mission Friends and Kids of the King, our two missions classes.

What About My Children?

On Sundays, the Kindergarteners are dismissed from Small Groups to attend Morning Worship while children from birth - Pre-K stay in their classrooms for the extended session. Children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade are invited to attend Glory Kids following the music portion of the service. Glory Kids is a worship service on a child's level of understanding. They can be picked up in Room 229 after the worship service is over.

On Wednesday evenings, everyone meets in the main building following dinner for Mission Friends and Kids of the King. This is their chance to learn about people who help others all over the world. They are encouraged to do their part at the age they are now to make the world better.

Our Mission

Connecting people to God,
      to God's People, and
            to God's purpose.

We want you to feel comfortable coming to Glorieta just as you are. Dress as you feel comfortable. Worship in the way that God leads you. Build relationships with God's people.

We also want to build relationships with the community around us. For instance, one of our current projects is making baby blankets for the Oklahoma City Indian Clinic. The women making these blankets are able to connect with each other while they make the blankets and then connect to a new mother when she receives a blanket. Please visit us and find out how you can become involved. There is a special place for you at Glorieta.
